CAFFREY IN CUSTODY. REVOLVER AND PIRATE FLAG IN HIS POSSESSION.

Sydney, October 5. A man named Joe Adams, alias Caffrey, has been arrested at Fern mount on suspicion of having committed the murder at the Great Barrier Island. A revolver and Borne cartridges and a piratical flag have been found in hie swag. The prisoner denied ever having been in New Zealand, but hie appearance exactly answers the description of Caffrey. His mate, Perm, has not yet been traced. The prisoner has been remanded. A quantity of wreckage and ship's stores has been found at Port Macquarie, as well as a board bearing the name " Auckland."
