Williams, one of the leaders of this interesting body, has gone to prison for two months becauee he was unable to pay a fine of t2B for the obptruction of a public highway by holding a Socialistic meeting Minwarning, another Socialist, convicted o£ the same charge, wae allowed till Thursday week to raise money. Hyndmann publishes the usual protest against the unfairness of these sentences,' and conapiains that Socialistic meetings are interfered with. He diacloseß the rather remarkable fact that the owners of public halls unanimously refuse to let them for Socialistic meetings, though offered money, with a guaranty againat damage. Hyndmann has been sued for libel by the owner and agente of a Welsh mine, whom he accused of conduct eimilar to that falsely imputed to Waterin, who was murdered by the Decazville miners. This suit is likely to terminate his public Career,
