COMMERCIAL, THAMES CATTLE MARKET.
Bakks iND Co.'s Weekly Report.— At Parawai on Thursday the market was supplied with fat cattle of very superior quality, and although at first tire tone of the market seemed rather low, eventually there was some spirited bidding and good prices were lealised. A draft of steers from Mr G. Gould, Waitoa, averaged £8 6s, cows £5 5s each, or from 19s to 21s per lOOlbs. Sheep we cannot quote, as there were none in the market, bat a moderate supply of lambs sold readily at a slight advance on last week rates.
Cambridge, Friday, Alfred Buckland & Co. report: — At Ngaruawahia on Wednesday, at our opening sale, the yards were filled. Over 300 liead o£ cattle yarded, and almost all sold at good prices. We quote grown steers in forward condition at £4 10s; those from Mr Rathborne and Mr Frazer being very choice, elicited spirited bidding. Three year feteers, fresh condition, from £3 7s Gd to £4 2s 6d ; yearling steers, £2 •5s ; 2 year steers, £3 13s ; empty dairy £2 ; upringers, from £3 to £4 10s. Two very choice shorthorn bulls, at £5 7* Gd and £6.
