AUCKLAND HERALD, SEPT. 15.
There is a good deal of feeling 1 exhibited at Te Aroha over the doings oE the Te Aroha Domain Board, und these are strongly condemned by those who take an intelligent interest in public affairs. A " Professor" Cadman has been appointed hydropathist to the Te Aroha baths for a period of six- months j and the exclusive right to harig advertisements o£ all kinds in the bath rooms has been granted to another man for five years, on terms which are regarded as an abuse of the power vested in the the Board, and a wanton sacrifice of the resources of the Domain. A public meeting was convened on Saturday to consider the action of the Board in these matters j but- owing to the disorderly conduct of several persons present, for the avowed purposes of stoping the proceeding, discussion became impossible, and the object of the met ting was frustrated. As the springs are public property, and the wise management of them is a matter of vital importance, these doings have evoked a very strong feeling in the Te Aroha community.
