Wellington, this day. A smart shock of earthquake was felt here shortly after noon.
• . Westport, this day. A strong shock of earthquake was felfe here at noon. '
Blenheim, this day. A very severe shock of earthquake was experienced here at noon to-day. The* Government buildings and otber structures rocked, and considerable alarm was occasioned. The shock lasted seven or eighfc seconds, and was preceded by several; seconds' loud rumbling. No damage ia_ reported; The shock was felt generally throughout the province, and is the heaviest! known for many years.
