Proposed Australasian Census.
The ' Government of New South Wales has proposed that a census of Australasia should be taken in 1888, the centenary of the establishment of that colony. MrMcintyre (the "Argus" stages) took advantage of a motion to go into Committee" of Wayßand Means in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, to urge that Victoria should fall ip with thva, arrangement as a compliment to the mother colony, which, in despatching the Soudan contingent, haddone much tb advertise the colonies throughout the whole world. It was undesirable, be submittedj; to ( abstain,^ and thereby possibly offend Neffl'j South Wale's.
