Batteiues. — JBoili the Now Era and Firth and Clarkes Battery are at present engaged in treating the trial crushing of 20 tracks each Ne\V Find quartz, which will probably be completed by the beginning of the ensuing week. No retort has taken place at Firth and Clarkes battery this >veek, but the monthly retort will probably tako place about Tuesday next. The battery is at present employed as follows : 30 stampers for New Find, 5 Colonist, and 5 Galena.
