TE AROHA HOT SPRINGS. AS a SUMMER RETREAT not one among the SANATORIA of New Zealand is 80 lapidly becoming famous as TE AROHA. The celebrity of its HOT SPRINGS is ex lending throughout the length and breadth of the Colony, and the WONDERFUL CURES effected by the Waters in cases of RHEUMATISM, GOUT, LUMBAGO. LIVEH, AND KIDNEY COMPLAINTS, INDIGESTION, and Kindred Ailment*, are gratefully testilied to in the V'Kitoib' Book by Hundreds of Pe.-aons who by theii use ha\ c been re«toied to Health and all it.-> enjoyments. The place ib -par &ccellencp. tha SANATORIUM OF THE PEOPLE. The CLIMATE in its HEALTH-GIVING PROPERTIES is uhmu passed ; the COST OF LIVING is exceedingly MODERATE; and the locality is easy of access by uivr.ll, UAH,, on roap fiom Auckland and the Thames. In addition to these advantages there are for the Robust abundant means of enjoyment in BOATING, RIDING, AND DRIVING, while for those in delicate health the neatly laid out Domain foims a most pleasant resort. Tho following analysis of the Waters by Mr J. A. Pond, Colonial Analyst, and the accompanying extracts from his leport thereon to the Domain Board, will be read with interest. The Samples weie taken €rom the Springs, as numbered, the temperatures of which ranged from Iosdegs. to llOdegs. Fahr :—: — to . These Waters are all' feebly alkaline and strongly charged with caibonic acid gas, which is constantly escaping from tho Springs in large quantities. The Lithia, a valuable constituent of these Waters, is present in an appreciable quantity. The Analysis show these Springs to be very similar in composition. These Mineral Water.-* are exceedingly interesting, and will prove of great value medicinally. The} 7 closely resemble some of the European Mineial Springs so justly celebrated, more especially those of Vichy, En.s, and Fachingen. Their Curative Value will bo gieatest in Rheumatic and Arthritic Diseases, Calculus, Affections of the Kidneys, and Dyspepsia. You may rest assured that all you can do for your Springs in the bhape of improving the facilities for their uao, is entirely jus>nficd by tho character of the water.
