J. 55. Buokland rcpoits : — At Cambridge on Saturday last, not 1101113" cattle oftered, but with tha exception of dairy cows, none were wanted. Daily cows made from L 4. to LG 10s. At the Bazaar a large quantity of! fowls, onions, &c , were sold. The horses from Te Puke being for unreserved sale, sold well. Foals fiom 200 to L 4 ; ytijii'liuos, from Ll 15s to LG ; hacks up to L-l 10-i : di.uight mare, Ll5. A lar^o number o£ local horses were also offered, and neaily all sold. Hiding hoi>e& from L 4 10s to LlB 5s ; and one sold privately at L2O. In all, s.bout GO horses changed hands. Also quitted 120 sacks of! good oats ;<t 2s 6d per bushel ; 3 tons of oaten chaff, at L 3 10s ; 2 tons ot* fencing wire, tit L 9 per ton. At Ohaupo 011 Tuesday, average number of cattle were yarded and nearly all,jsold Grown fresh steers at lower values, but steer calves, young steers, spryed cows, heifers, sold at usual prices. Fat cows at L 4 to L 4 10-*. 400 btoro withers sold at 10s. At Waito.i on Thursday ;in consequence of reports of cattle coming from the East Coast, not many local cattle offered, but nearly all sold. The cattle fiom Te Puke were of! course in low condition, with the exception of some fat cows, and prices ruled acooidingly. Grown steers, L 2 10s to L 3 10s; empty cows : L 2 to L 2 17s Gd ; fat cows, L 3 10s to L 4 5s ; steer calves, Ll lls ; heifer do., 20s ; Dairy cows, L 5 ss, L 4 10s, and L 4 ; 20 fat wethers at 12s Gd and GO at 12s.
