Well, to be practical, would any lady or gentleman cmi-ider diet like the foliowintf.a starvation one ? Let them liy it before th a y reply: — 7.30 a.m. — A cup of cocatina and milk. Bam.— (Jold or tepid bath. Rough towelling. Ten minutes' dumb-billing. Drees slowly. Five minutes' walk in the garden. 8.45 a.m.— Breakfast, No tea'or coffee, Cocatina and milk Toast or t^alo biead White fi-h ; underdone steak or chop. Lightly-boiled eggs. 1.30 p in.— Lunch. Alittle of whatever is know, nto agree. A slice of beef or niutton, or a few oysters. Gp m. —Dinner. No soup. White fish ; Beef, mutton, fowl, game. No rich pauces, No made dishes. No pastry or cheese. Vegetables in modeiation, preferably potatoes, aeakale, or cauliflower. 8 30 p.m —Light supper of. whatever is known to agreo. To bed. at . eleven.' If )iungry, eat a biscuit first and drink a tumbler of soda- water with ten grains of bicarbonite ?i soda in it. Sleep in a welJventilated ioom on a hard mattress and lightly covered.
