WAIORONGOMAI BALL.
The ball and supper which came off in the Public Hall Waiorongomai on last Monday evening was a great success. Some thirty couples were present. The catering was entrusted to Mr A. A. Wallace, who carried out his duties admirably. The music was provided by Messrs P. Quinlan (piccolo) and W. Quinlan (violin), in their usual good style : whilst Mr Jas. May proved an eflfcient M.C. Dresses worn on the occasion : Mrs J. Me. L. Murray : Maroon velvet, silver jewellery. Miss Laybourn : Plaid homespun, silver jewellery. Mrs Lawless : Blue sateen, and show drops, silver jewellery. Miss Lawless : Old gold, .cardinal flowers. Mrs H. H. Adams : Black silk, Mrs D. Samson : Grey lustre, satin to match. Mrs W. Samson : Russell cord, gilt trimmings. Mrs I). Wallace : Black cashmere, gold jewellery. . Mrs Jas. May : Brown silk, gold jewellery. Miss Clarkin : Black cadhmere* cardinal sash, silvor jewellery. Miss O'Connor : Green cashmere, velvet trimmings. Miss E. Maingay : Oatmeal cloth, pink trimmings, silver jewellery. Miss Fugill : Pink gingham. Miss Wright ; Wine coloured velvet bodice, white polonaise. Miss T- Gold s worthy : Black ami \ white grenadine beaded tiimmings.
