A PPLICATION has bsen made to me JX by ISAAC RAILEY, for. permission to construct a Water Race for Mming purposes, commencing at a point on the Waitawheta River, Ohinenmri, snd terminating on the same creek 15 chains lower down, as shown on plan lodged in Warden's Office. Tho length of such Race is 15 chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is along the bank of the crock. The main luotulth and depth of such Race is 3 feet by 2 feer, it is capable of carrying eight sluico-lieads of water, and the number of sluice-heads, of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate is eight. NOTICE is therefore given, that on tho nineteenth day of May, 188(3, a License will be granted to the above-n.unod ISAAC RAILEY for the said Water R.ice, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this Office, »ot less than seven clear days before that dalo. A PPLICATION lias been made to me i\ by JAMES DON for permission to construct a Water Race for Mining pur poses, commencing at a point about 120 chains above the biiilge at Stoney Creek, and terminating at the Machine Site about 85 chains above the bridge, as shown on plan. The length of such Race is 35 chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is along Stoney Creek. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is 2 feet by 1 foot, it is capablo of carrying two sluice-heads of water, and tho number of sluice-heads, of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate is two. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the Bth day of Jane, 1888, a License will be granted to the above-named James Don for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this Office, not less than seven clear days before that date.
