Another Victim.
John Frosdjke, another of the unfor tunate men who endeavoured to escape from burning at the recent lire in Borsboom'e Boarding house, during the progress of fche flames, died at the Hospital on Sunday morning about ten o'clock. We heard on Saturday at the Hospital that very little hopes wore entertained as to Frosdyke's recovery, owing to the severe nature of his injuries, so that death, which had been hourly expected, wa3 truly a "happy release." An inquest on the body of deceased is proceeding before Dr. Philson, Coroner, as we go to press. The five other men, who were more or less injured, are likely to recover. From the tenor of the evidence on Saturday the accidents would not have occurred had not the men lo3t presence of mind and neglected to f jllow the direction of Daniel Lepine. Mr Alfred Pryce favoured this view, as he was the last peraon who left the upper story, and he coolly escaped uninjured.
Two Other Men Dangerously Hurt. Two of the other injured men, Neil amd Houghton, are reported to be in a precarious condition. .Neils injuries are a compound fracture of the leg and injury to the chest, while Doughton is suffering from concussion ot the spine, and also from burns and bruiee3. Messrs E. McKeown and B. Oawson ai'e interesting themselves in raising a subscription for tho relief of the sufferers, and have met with considerable success.
