Sydney, May 13. -In the Legislative Assembly to day, the contract for the San Francisco Mail Service came up for consideration. The motion that the contract entered into be -approved was adjourned until Tuesday next. Mr Clarke has given notice of his intention to move a vote of censure upon Mr Dibbs for expending sura of £600 in publishing an " Au&traiianjportrait gallery." It is understood that the Victorian Government are willing to allow non-contrib-uting colonies to share in the beneQts of the reduction of press rates to Au?traliato 2s 8d per word, which will probably come into force on the Ist of July next. Sydnky, May 37.— A letter has been received in this city from New Guinea, leporting that a great deal of sickness has occurred among the members of the Forbes expedition, and that the party is completely broken in consequence.
