HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT

APPLICATION TO FORM A WATER RACE. Warden's Office, Thames, sth May, 1886. A PPLICATION has been mnde to me l\. by ISAAC EAILEY, for; permission to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes, commencing; at a point on the Waitawheta River, Ohinemuri, »nd terminating on the same creek 15 chains lower down, as shown on plan lodged in Warden's Office. The length of such Race is 15 chains or thereabouts, and its intended courbe is along the bank of the creek. The main hioadth and depth of such Race is 3 feet by 2 feet, it is capable of canying eight sluice-heads of water, and the number of sluice-heads, of. forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate is eight. NOTICE is therefore Riven, that on the nineteenth dsy of May, 1886, a License will be granted to the above-named ISAAC RALLEY for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thoieto be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this Office, not less than seven clear days before that data. X PPLICATION has been made to mo 1\ by JAMES DON for permission to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes, commencing at a point about 120 chains above the bridge at Stoney Creek, and terminating at the Machine Site about 85 chains above the bridge, as shown on plan. The length of suoh Race is 35 chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is along Stonoy Crock. The mean breadth and depth of suoh Race is 2 feet by 1 foot, it is capable of carrying two sluice-heads of water, and tho number of sluice-heads, of forty inches each, which it is proposed to appropriate is two. NOTICE is therefore given, that on tho Bth day of June, 1886, a License will bo granted to the above-named James Don for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this Office, not less than seven clear days before that date.
