MORRINSVILLE.
Efforts have lately been made to form a branch of the Blue Ribbon Army at Morrinsville, and on Saturday last the *irst meeting was held in the schoolroom, at which between forty and fifty persons were present. Mr Whitburn ably presided, and an interesting programme was provided by Messrs Snell, Bryant, and Green, and Mesdaraes Snell and Green. At the close of the meeting 20 adults and 12 children were enrolled as members, but among these were several who were already abstainers. The promoters of the scheme are well pleased with the success of the first meeting, and the School Committee have encouraged them by kindly permifctingthe free use of the school-room once a fortnight for three months.
