The Marquis of Normanby charges Mr Gladstone with cowardly abandoning the Loyalists in Ireland. The National, Liberal, and Federation Leagues have approved of Mr Gladstone's Irish proposals. Mr Chamberlain offers to support the second reading of the Land Purchase Bill if the Irish members are retained at Westminster. Lou don, May 7, In the House of Commons to day,the Marquis of Hartington gave notice that he would move the rejection of the Home Rule Bill on its second reading.
