The Onehunga R.O. Autumn Meeting on Saturday proved most successful, and the only thing that occurred to mar the proceedings was a couple of nasty spilla received by two jockeys. In the Winter Oats Handicap, George Durston was thrown from Dressmaker, sustaining concussion of the spine, and C. Warren came down while riding Hawthorn in the Selling Steeplechase, but he escaped with a severe shaking. Tinman (Hadfield) 1 Gazelle (Hope) 2 Rowdy (Fergus) ... : ... 3 Also ran : Minuet (Munn), and Evening Star (Burns). Gazelle was the favourite.
