A PPLIOATION has been ma'cte to me A. by ISAAC RATLET, for perm-s-sion to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes, commencing at a point on jjthe Waitawheta River, Ohinemuri, »nd terminating on the same creek 15 chains lower down, as shown on plan lodged in Warden's Office. The length of such Rnce is 15 chains or theicabouts, and its in tended couiee is along the bank of the creek. The main breadth and depth of such Race is 3 feet by 2 feet, it is capable of carrying eight sluice-heads of water, and the number of sluice-heads, of forty inches each, which it is proposed to ap-prop7-iate ig eight. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the nineteenth dsy of May, 1886, a License will be errante'd to the above-named ISAAC RAILEY for the snid Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this Office, not less than seven clear days before that date.

TE AROHA GOLD MINING DISTRICT APPLICATION TO FORM A WATER RACE. Warden's Office, Te Aroha, 7th May, 1886. APPLICATION has been made to me i\. by JAMES DON for psrmission to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes, commencing at a ''point about 120 chains above the bridge at Stoney Creek, and terminating at the Machine Site about 85 chains above the bridge, as shown on plan. The length of such Race is 35 chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is along Stoney Creek. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is 2 feet by I foot, it is capable of carrying two sluice-heads of water, and |he number of sluioo-headfi, of forty inches each, which it is proposed, to appro jriate is t-vo.
