The principal events resulted : — Hawkesbury Stakes, a handicap of 750 sovs. ; 500sovs. to the first horee, 150sovs. to the second, and lOOsovs. to the third. Six furlongs. Mr J. Northern's b c Keith, 3yrs, by Goldsborough— Amphrite 1 Mr R. Rouse's (junior) ch h Fraud (late Wing), 5yrs, Grandmaster— Queen Bee 2 Nineteen horses started, Keith winning by a length. No third horse was placed. Time. lmin. losecs. Claret Stakes, a sweepstakes of lOaovs each, with 300sovs added. For two-year-olds. Second horse SOscvs, and third horse 25sovs from the prize. Five furlongs. 57 noms. Hon. Jas. White's brf Acme, by Chester — Prin cess Maud, 8st l Mr D. Cooper's ch c Chesham, by Grand Flaneur— Lady Chester, Sst 21b ... 2 Hon. Jas.
