Tele 1 Autumn Meeting of tlia Takapuna Jockey Club on Saturday proved mcsb successful. The attendance throughout tho afternoon was quite up to previous occasions, while the racing was of an excellent description, and in each case largo fields faced the starter. The officers one and all did their best to promote the success of the meeting, bub of course the lion's share of tho work fell on Mr R. Wynyard, Secretary, and Mr S. Vosper, Treasurer. Rowdy cut out the running for the greater part of the journey, but after clearing the water jump the last time, Guy Fawkes and Be:le singled themselves out from the rest of the field, and a desperate struggle home ensued. Up the straight every inch of the grouud was fought out, and the pair passed the post almost locked together, the judge giving hi 3 verdict as a dead heat. Falcon, Actres 3 , and Quilp fell.
