WAITEKAURI
Mining matters here are beginning to assume a more prosperous aspect than has been the casa for some considerable time past. The tributers in the Waitekauri Company's mine have now got everything in thorough working order, and are only waiting for rain to start crushing operations. Ralph and party's battery is kept running on stuff obtained from the Diamond and Young New Zealand irines, and the crushing is shaping for a handsome return. In the Welcome mine Waite and party are breaking cut stone showing I gold freely, from a lode » few inches in thickness, and they expect a handsome return from their general dirt.
