OHINEMURI. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Paeroa, Friday.

The annual meeting of shareholders in the Paeroa Public Hal! * Company was held on Monday evening last, Mr F. Lipsey'in the cliair. After the minutes 'of the last annual meeting had been read and confirmed, the Secretary and Treasurer, Mr J. Phillips-jnhr:, brought up the balance sheet which showed the 'income for the past year to have been £28 19s 10 ; expenditure £15 11s 63; balance to company's credit £17 10s ~4d. On the motion of Mr Mitchell the balance sheet was received and adopted, and a dividend of Is per share on 460, : shares Vas declared. Mr Coote proposed and Mr Mitchell that .the obtgoing committe viz : — Messrs, Xipsey, JBramley, Mitchell, Robson, k3oote^ 'Cassrels, and "Phillips, junr., be 'elected for the ensuing term. Carried. *On the "motion of Mr Mitchell seconded by Mr v C6ote, it was decided that the." 'passed at £he annual .^neeting 4 of 1884 be re-affirmed Viz : — Tha+ no st^ps betaken to improve the Hall till "the freehold of the. allotments was obtained. The meeting closed with the *Usual vote of thanks io the chair. At a subsequent meeting of the committee the following resolutions weie carried 'unanimously namely — That Mr J. junr. be secretary. Tliat Mr C. Rhoies be requested to act as auditor. That Mr F. Lipsey be "chairman for tlie ensuing year. That 4he -Ch&irman and Secretary be authorised to sign all cheques. That the '"caretakers salary be reduced to £7 per deduction to date froto Ist of neJct.
