THE HAND NOT MRS RAYNER'S. Masterton, Jan 15.
The body of Mrs Rayner was exhumed under the supervision of Sergeant Price last pight, when it was found that the body was intact. It is now thought that the hand might be that of Irall Bassendall, who was drowned in the Ruamahanga River, and buried in Masterton on the 16th De 0.,., being the day on which Howard »is said to have left Master ton. » It is understood that authority to exhume the body has been applied for.
