TE AROHA THERMAL SPRINGS DOMAIN BOARD. Annual Meeting.

The annual meeting ot the Domain Board was held on Tuesday evening last. Present : Messrs G. Wilson (chairman), Ahier (Set.), Lipsey, and Gavin. Minutes o£ the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Secretary submitted the following bcil.mco-slnet for the year ending Dec. JUt, 1885 :—

The following tenders were opened :—: — For carting for ensuing six months : From Jas Orr, Waiorongomai i Timber, 5d per 100 f t; giavel, 2s 6d per yard ; 1 horse, druy, and man per day, 17s 6d ; 2 horses, dray, and man, per day, 22s 6d. From Hethrington and McKnight, Te Aroha : Timber, 6d per 100 f t; gravel, 38 6d per yard ; other goods, 3a per loud. Resolved, That Mr Orrs tender be accepted. For the supply of kerosene, etc., for ensuing six months 5 Laybourn Bros, Waiorongomai : Kerosene, lbs 9d per case ; candles, 10^d per lb, best brands. Resolved, That Messrs Laybourn Bros.' tender be accepted. Accounts, amounting to £98 14s 7d, were passed fo^ payment. A long discussion ensued with respect to the advisability of having the bnth tickets c sold through the business ppople of the town, allowing them a commission thereon, instead of at present having them on sale at the Domain Board office. No alteration wa-, however, resolved on. Resolved, That bathers be not admited after 11.30 p.m., and that all the baths must be cleared bv mid-night* The members /vei'e unanimous in desiring that Sir Julius Vogel, at present at Waiwera, bo again invited to visit the Aroha Springs, which it was believed would prove most benefit ial in his ca^e. Resolved, That the Chairman be requested to write and invite Sir Julius. This concluded the business of the meeting. The next business Was the election of a Chairman for the ensuing year. On the motion of Mr Lipspy, seconded by Mr Gavin, Mr Ahier consented to ait as chairman pro tern. Mr Lipsey next proposed Mr U-eo.
