THE ELECTIONS. THE RESULT.

An estimate of the final result of the elections gives the coalition of Tories and Parnellites a majority of ten over the Liberals. Apart from the Parnellites, the Liberals have a majority of twenty-two. The Irish conservatives, headed by Mr Lowis, are forming an independent section, opposing any coalition with Parnell. Mr Burt replaces Mr Lawson as leader of the local optionists. Mr Bradlaugh has entered into negotiations with the Liberal leaders. The number of members of the new House of Commons who never before were elected to Parliament is 332. This has had no parallel since the first Parliament under the Reform Bill of 1832.
