London. December 29. Mr Murray-? MiTii, who has been officially informed that Mr Graham Berry will relievo him of the duties of Agent General for Victoria at an early date, states that he had cxpucted his services would have been retained until the close of the Colonial and Indian Exhibition, to be opened in May. Mr Murray Smith has resolved upon re-entering political life in Victoria. He will shortly be entertained at a banquet in London. January 5. Mr Smith will embark for Victoria about the end of Apiil. W.v.sHiMrrox, January o.— The Senate had passed a measure of a very stringent character for the purpose of repressing the practice of polygamy among the Mormons in Utah territory.
