THAMES SUMMER MEETING.

Thames, Dec. 28. The first day's racing of the Thames Summer Meeting took place yesterday afternoon. Results : — Free Handicap. — Twohill's Mystery, 1 ; Chadwick's Flageolet, 2 ; Carter's Rewi, 3. Hurdle Race.— Styak's Bushman, 1 ; Frasers Quilp, 2 ; Reids Actress, 3. Thames Plate.— Twohill's Cinderella, 1 ; Enko's Victory, 2 ; Diver, 3. Selling Hack Race.— Work, 1 ; Kate, 2 ; Bon jour, 3. Six others started. Stewards' Handicap. — D. Twohill's Mystery, 1 ; Frasers Kaiwaka, 2 ; Robertsons Kalo, 3. Flageolet and Rewi also ran, Thames, Tuesday. The second day's racing of the Thames Jockey Club took place to-day. About 1,500 spectators were present. Results :— Flying Stakes.— Mystery, 1 ; Kalo, 2 ; Rewi, 3. Blarney and Diver also ran. Selling Race.— Notice of Motion, 1 ; Butcher Boy, 2 j Worm, 3. Penwing and New Chum also ran. Goldfields Handicap. - Cinderella, 1 j Mystery, 2 These were the only starters. Stee-leohaoe.— Bushman, 1 ; Julia Ann, 2. Reform, Quilp, Auctioneer, and Rowdy also ran. Rowdy, when holding a good position, fell, and Frewin, his rider, received a severe shaking. Reform was the favourite. Free Handicap.— Kaiwaka, 1 ; Flageolet 2 ; Rewi, 3. Won by a neck. £2,800 passed through the totalisator during the two days.
