THAMES HOSPITAL BOARD.
On Monday night last at Thames the above Hospital Board held a meeting 1 , at which were present Messrs Renshavv (chairman), Greenville, J. B. Smith, und Walsh, The sum required for the maintenance of the Hospital up to the 31st March, 1886, being £384, it was resolved that a demand be made upon the four local bodies for their respective proportions of that amount. Mr Smith entered a protest against the demmd being made on the Piako Council. Mr llenshaw then gave notice of tt mo-tion-to the effect "That provision be made for a branch or cottage" hospital in a- site most suitable for the wants of the PiaUo and Ohinemuri districts, and tiiat Messrs Smith, Walsh, and tiie Jtiover be' a committed to report to the Board as to (a) the be«t situation for the hospital j (b) the probable 1 cost per annom.} (c) the best system of management ; (d) that Messrs Smith and Walsh b& requested to brim? the 1 matter before their lespecfcive county councils." ,A code, of by-laws was ordered to be dmwu jiu.by the Committee and brought W'foi'eHiie Board for thei/ VppfoVal, l
