HON. MR BALLANOE'S VISIT.

'T'he Hon the Minister of Lands is expected to arrive at Te Aroha this evening from Hamilton, and to remain over Sunday. During his stay he will be waited upon by" deputations respecting tho following, amongst other matters of local importance: — From Te Aroha : By the Improvement Committee with the object of having some steps taken whereby owners of township sections shall have a more satisfactory title to their lands, whereby they may be abta to purchase the freehold/ or be assured of a perpetual lease. To urge tho importance of having even any temporary railway station buildings, on this side the river. To urge that new trustees be appointed in the room of Messrs Whitaker, Stafford', etc., with respect to the Te Aroha Uemetary and Recreation Grounds. Requesting that the reservation now existing on several blocks o£ nativo land in this district be removed, and same thrown open for sale and settlement.
