Melbourne, Aug. 27.— The prisoner Robinson has confessed that he stole the money from the Hotham Bank.- ,He states that he- broke, open^ .jthe drawers of the safe with, a, , chisel snd abstracted the contents. He then hired a cab ; and, proceeding, to Brighton Beach, .buried the, money in the, sand, whence Police this. morning recovered it with, the exception of £200 still unaccounted-for.
