Playing with Dynamite.

Some little time since we had occasion to make a few remarks upon a severe accident whioh occurred to a man while "tempering" dynamite in a saucepan over the kitchen fire, by which insane operation he rendered himself a cripple for life and killed his mother out of hand. Now a silly fellow at Newbiggin, in the county of Durham, has demolished himself by firing off a dynamite cartridge as ajeu dejoie at a wedding Using his finger and thumb in lieu of a cannon, he succeeded in blowing his hand to pieces, but having a reverse of ammunition m his trousers pocket, the cartridge whioh he held detonated those in his magazine, and blew him into such little pieces that they would not dine a mite. Before now, happy couples have come to grief at the very com mewcement of their honeymoon, in consequence of the horses in their oarriage running away through fright at the volleys of slippers and rice thrown at the departing pair ; but to enter the marriage state under such a salvo of artillery as this violent ex plosion proved to be is a new experience. A man who performs such idiotic antics puts himself beyond commiseration, and it was fortunate that he did not smash up anybody besides himself. But at a future weddings it will be a wise precaution to search the groomsmen to ascertain that they have no dynamite cartridges secreted in their trouaers pockets, or perhaps some of the bridesmaids may "go off" more quickly than even the most match-making mamma could desire.
