Battery. — The battery has been hung up all this week owing to the slips on the tramway preventing the transit of quarts from the mines. It is anticipa ted, however, that the line will be sufficiently clear to admit of trucks running on Monday, and that crushing will be resumed on Tuesdny. Returns for week*. New Find, 115 trucks, 121oa. retorted gold. The following, are the returns for the month ending July 9th j — New Find \ 270 trucks crushed for 2-1 7oz. of retorted gold (including tailings). Colonist : 15 G trucks, 7 602 retorted gold. i The Premier will probably clean up to-day. May Queen t 6 trucks, lloa lldwts retorted gold. Tttßiifi is really nothing of special interest to report from the hill this week. lln the New Find work is proceeding much as reporteJ in our last issue. In the different workings about the same amount of gold is showing. Premier. — The present crushing, which consists of about twenty six trucks, vill be finished to-c*ay. A crushing is now being taken from No. 1 reef.
