DOMAIN BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the above was held on Tuesday evening last. Present—Messrs Geo. Wilson (chairman), C. Airier (sec), G. Lipsey, and T. Gaviu.

A number of accounts were pissed for payment, anil correspondence read. Resolved : " That in consequence cf the uncnlled for and insulting tenor of a letter received by the Board from Mr Joseph Heathcote (contractor for the erection of additions to No 3 bathhouse), that he be in future ignored when any work is to be done by the Board." It was recorded that a deputation consisting of Messrs Geo. Wilson, 0. Ahier, and T. Gavin had waited upon the Minister of Mines with regard to the necessity for Government giving further assistance for the developing of the mineral springs, and requesting him to have £1000 placed on the Estimates for that purpose. The Minister had expr«ssed the opinion the work was highly desirable, and had promised to do his best to have the pecuniary aid sought for granted. Resolved : That the sum of £30 be expended in the planting of trees ornamental shrubs, etc. Other improvements are also about to be carried out. Resolved : That a letter of thanks be written to Mr Jas. Craig for his present of a visitor's book. Resolved : That all works over £10 in extent be in future let by public tender.
