By bribing two non-commissioned officors at Deutz and Diiaseldorf , who made use of duplicate keys, he succeeded in obtaining copies of certain valuable written directions relative to the mobilisation of the 7th and 8th Army Corps ; while it was proved that he had also endeavoured to procure other forbidden knowledge of military matters by similar means.
