Disturbance at a Salvation Army Meeting.

At Crowe Polico Court, on Tuosday, Jamos Hough, a youth, was charged with riotous conduct in tho Salvation Army barracks, Camm-streot, Crowe, a placo licensed for public worship. The disturbance took placo on tho 1st inst. during a servico conducted by "Major" Paterson, who has obtained somo notoriety in connection with the faith-hoaling works. Whon a hymn was sung tho defendant and a number of othors prolonged tho chorus, repeating it sevoral timos and stamping with their feet. — Mr Thomas (a magistrate) : I thought that you wero going to convert thoso rough boys.—" Sovgeant " Robinson : Thoro is a notice in tho room that any person disturbthe meeting will be "persecuted." — Policeconstable Hibbort said that the defendant was ono of the most prominent in causing the disturbance. — " Captain " Walker said that for sixtcon Sabbath ovenings consocutively the row carried on had been dis' graceful.
