THE N&W ZEALAND FAIiMKR BEE AND POULTRY JOURNAL," AN ILLUSTRATED AGRICULTURAL PASTORAL, AND HORTICULTURAL MONTHLY MAGAZINE.

OWTNG to the rapid extension of agriculture and rural industries of all kinds throughout the colony, the proprietor of the AUCKLAND STAB believes the interests of those engaged in such industries demand the establishment on an agricultural journal of a more comprehensive character and wider scope of usefulness than any now published in this colony. He has therefore issued an Illustrated Monthlj called THE NEW ZEALAND FARMER, BEE AND POULTRY JOURNAL. He has pur chased and incorporated with the new journal the agricultural publication so long issued under the title of "The North New Zealand Settler and Country Magazine." The new journal is twice the size of the "Settler, 11 with an ornamental coloured cover ; nnd care will be taken to make it equally useful as a medium of practical information upon all topics connected with rural pursuits to lesidcnts in all parts of New Zeiilnnd It will be the proprietor's aim to uuopt the host features of other journal of this class published in divat Britain and America, nnd thus to provide for farmer.", stock-breeders, horticulturists, nnc) everyone f >1 lowing rural avocations, a high-class journal which shall afford reliable information upon all matters pertaining to their several occupations while it strives to promote their special interests in all respects. Competent writers, possessing special knowledge of the subjects dealt with in the several department of the paper, have been engaged. These several departments will be kept distinct from one another, and will embrace the following subjects :— Agriculture, including Stockbreeding and Dairy Work ; Wool Growing ; Horticulture; Fruit Growing; Special Crops and Sub-Tropical Industries ; Poultry, Bee Keeping, &c. The illustrations will be the best of their kind both as regards drawing and engraving, and will add immensely to the practial value and attractions of the paper.
