He has th<r*fore issued an Illustrated Monthh called THE NEW ZEALAND FARMER, BEE AND POULTRY JOURNAL. He has pur chased nnd incorporated with the new journal theapiiicullurnl publication no long issued under the title ot " L'he North Now Zeahind Settler and Country Magazine." The new journal is twice the size of the "Settler," with an ornamental coloured cover ; dnd en re will be taken to make it equally useful as a medium of practical information upon all topics connected with rural puisuiU to residents in all parts of New Zeiiland It will he the proprietor's aim to auopt the best features of other journals of this class published in Oivat ]>ritain nnd America, and thus to provide, for farmers, stock-breeder^, horticulturists, and everyone f illowin.y rural avocition^, a high class journal which shall afford reiiahle information upon all mutters pertaining to their several occupations while it strives to promote their special interests in all respects. Competent writers, possessing special knowledge of the subjects dealt with in thj several department of the paper, have been eno-dged. These *evoiid departments will be kept distinct 'from one another, and will embrace the following subjects : — AiiTioultiirfy including StockI »reed ing* and Dairy Work; Wool Growing ; Horticulture 1 , Fruit Growing; Special 'Crops and Sub-Tropical Industries; Poultry, Bee Keeping 1 , &c.
