SAD FATALITY AT A FIRE. A Man Burned to Death. Wellington, April 21.
It is believed that Mr Squire Barlow, vho was assisting in suppressing the fire at Te Aro House on Saturday night, has lost his lifo in the building. Mr Barlow was seen to enter the building to lescue some of the goodrf, but since then he has not been seen or heard of. He was a partner with his brother in tbo greengrocery lino, and was to have returned to work on Saturday night. The v hole a < the debris in the building hah not been lemuved. Mr Barlow was married, and leave-? lour children. The stock in Te Aro House was valued at fully £35,000. The lnMiranco thereon u~as only £14,500, so that Mr Smith gutters a veiy great loss. The building \va3 v orth C 7,000, but was only insured for 14,501. Latkr — No trace of Barlow has yet been discovered. His relatives scarcely think he was burnt in the To Aro House liro, a search having been made amongst the ruins without success.
