Auckland, April IS, > Evbhythino combined to make the Taka* puna Jockey Club Meeting on Saturday a great success. The attendance was large, the racing of a first-class character! and no accidents of any kind occurred to mar the pleasure of the spectators. All the officers of the Club worked bard during the afternoon, but to the untiring exertions of Mr T. Peel, the Secretary, and Mr S. Vosper, Treasurer, in a great measure is due the success of the meeting. £3,835 went through # the totalisator. Appended are the details of the racing :— FLAT SELLING RACE of 25sovs, the winner to be sold immediately after the race, and the whole of the proceeds to go to the dub. Weight, Bst 71b.
