Thi following are the various amounts of money won by the different corps whioh attended the meeting of the New Zealand Rifle Assooiation :— Thames Rangers, £100; Wellington Navals, £87 ; Auckland Artillery, £82; Wanganui City Rifles, £56; Victoria Rifles (Auckland), £54; Fort Chalmers Artillery, £53 ; Wanganui Rifles, £40; Blenheim Rifles, £32; Masterton Rifles, £26 ; Alexandra Cavalry (Wanganui), £20 ; Wellington Artillery, £17 ; Dunedin ! Navals, £15 ; Napier Artillery, £15 ; Waikari Rifles (Otago), £12; Stoke Rifles (Nelson), £12 ; Taranaki ßifles, £12; North Dunedin Rifles, £11 ; Christchurch Artillery, £11 ; Wanganui Navals, £11 ; Timaru Navals, £10; Oamaru Artillery, £9; Napier Rifles, £9 ; Dunedin Guards, £9 ; Wellington Guards, £7 ; Spring Creek Rifles (Blenheim), £6; Waiuku Cavalry, £5 ; Thames Navals, £5 ; Waimea Rifles (Nelson), £4 ; Civilians, £4 ; Dunedin Artillery, £4; Auckland Guards, £2; Nelson Rifles, £3 ; Nelson Navals, £2 ; Wellington City Rifles, £2; Greytown Rifles, £1 ; Nelson Artillery, £1 ; Port Chalmeri Navals. £1; Groymouth Rifles, £1. The amounts won by th« various Volunteer districts were as follows : — Wellington, £144 ; Auckland, £139 ; Wanganui, £127 ; Thames, £105 ; Port Chalmers, £54 ; Dunedin, £41 10s ; Blenheim, £30 ; Napier, £24; Nelson, £22; Taranaki, £12; Christchurch, £1 1 ; Timaru, £10 ; Oamaru, £9 ; Waiuku, £5 ; Greymouth, £1. There were 150 rifle and 93 carbine representatives at the meeting, and notwithstanding the generally admitted fact that rifles are superior to carbines, the latter arm of the service has carried off £348 as against £408 by the rifles, which is indeed most creditable in proportion to their numbers.
