A special meeting of the Domain board was lieltl on last {Saturday even »#, For the purpose of considering the tenders for the additions to Mo. 3 bath-house, nivl which include five additional bathrooms, having both hot and cold water laid cm, and with >hower bath in e.tc'i; cooling, and waiting rooms, etc. There were three tenders, viz , Messrs Mills and Blown, £107 : Fan-ell, £ 1 1)7 { Heathcotf, £'H lUs. It was resolved that Mr Heathcote's tender be accepte '. The work will be commenced at once, and completed with all possible de>patch, as the large nuiubei of visitors now availing themselves of our hot springs necessitates an immediate increase of accouimodatiou. The wonderful benefit Professor Carl Schmidt and Mr John Lamb derived from a course of the baths is referred to in both the leading Auckland papers this week. Mr Lamb's letter being published in the Star in full. Facts such as these cannot fail (o attruct large numbers of invalids to our healing w.iters.
