CUSTOMS REVENUE RETURNS. Wellington, this day.
The Customs revenue collected in the colony for last month amounted to £126,260, against £122,210 for the corresponding month of last year. Of last month's amount, Auckland contributed £29,477, Wellington £22,021, Lyttelton and Christchurch £17,071, and Dunedin £37,268. The total amount of Customs revenue collected in the colony for the ten months of the financial year is £1,177,148. The beer duty last month was £4,922, and for January, ISS4, £4,832. Last month Auckland contributed £1,064, Wellington £437, Dunedin £1,112, and Christchurch £859. For the ten months of the financial year the amount is £45,938, a surplus of £105 on the Colonial Treasurer's estimate.
