ANNEXATION OF SAMOA. Alleged German Movement to Depose Malietoa. Auckland, February 4.

By arrival of the schooner Aurora, under charter to Messrs Me Arthur and Co., we are placed in possession of further par ticulars concerning the state of affairs with regard to annexation at Samoa. The Aurora left Samoa on January 16th» and arrived in harbour at 11 o'clock last evening. When she left the islands things were in a very unsettled state. The Germans were exceedingly annoyed at the action of King Malietoa in petitioning England to annex Samoa, and it is said that they were fomenting a movejment with the object of deposing him. Malietou, would, in the event of such a movement being successful, be succeeded by Tamasese, the present Vice-King, who is apparently favourable to the German interests. It was probably for the purpose of coming to terms with Tamasese, therefore, that when the Aurora left the latter was engaged in a conference with Mi Webber, head of the great German firm, and several chiefs of the island. The result of their deliberations we are not yet acquainted with. No open hostility had been shown towards the King, but how long this would be the case seemed very doubtful indeed, and serious disturbances were anticipated, '
