Wellington Racing Club Spring Meeting.

The second day's racing of the Wellington Racing Club Spring Meeting was held on Saturday, with tho following results :—: — Frkk Handicap, f-mile. — Minerva, 9st 2lbs, 1 ; Pasha, Bst, 2 ; Ugly Buck, Sst lOibs, 3.— Won by a neck. Time, 1.20 J. Hurdle Race, about 2-£ miles.—Liability, lOst, 1 ; The Druid, lOst, 2 ; Wideawake, list 3 lbs. St. Andrew's Handicap, H mile :—Administrator, Sst 101b|( Clifford") 1 ; Speculation, 6st Gib, (A. Smith) 2 ; Armourer, 7st (Hickcy), 3. Minerva, Refrigerator, Bayard, and Witiora also ran. Won by a length. Time, 2min. 43secs. Totalisater dividend, £6 6s. Consolation.— Armourer, 7st4lb, 1 ; The Glove, 7st 71b, 2 ; First Water, Ost 71b, 3.

Dunedin Jockey Club Spring Meeting. There was splendid weather and a good attendance at the Dunedin Jockey Club Spring Meeting on Saturday. Results :—: — Hubui,es, 2 miles and a distance.— Trapper, 9st 21b, 1 ; Linwood, 2 ; Little John, 3. Glenara also started. Won easily. Time, 4.43. Maiden Plate, 1£ mile.— Rubegazl, by Sco Saw— Fairyland, 1 ; Puck, 2 ; Ravenswood, 3. Won by half a length. Time, 2.21. St. Andrew's Handicap, of 300sovs. ; second horse COsovs., third horse SOsovs, from tho stakes. 1 mile and a-half. — Johnny Faulkner, syrs, 7st 121bs (Stratford), 1 ; Taiaroa, syrs, 7st 9lbs (Boyle), 2 ; Lady Evelyn, 3yrs, 6st 121bs (Myers), 3. Ike (7st 91bs), Sou-w ester (Sst 51bs), Nelson (Bst 2lbs), and Adamant (7st 31bs) also ran. Betting : 2to 1 against Taiaroa, 4to 1 Sou-w ester and Ike, 5 to 1 Nelson, 12 to 1 Lady Evelyn. Splendid race. Won on the post by a short nose. Time, 2.42. Cheap Jack won the Soiling Two-year-old Plate, 4 furlongs, Strenuous second, Everton Lad third ; and the Second Spring Handicap, 1 mile, fell to Lady Evelyn.

[ Forbury Racecourse, Dec. 1. The weather is dull and threatening for the second day's racing, but the attendance is good. The following are the results : — Hunters' Plate Handicap of 70sov8. One mile and a half. Ravenswood (lOst 51b), Stewart ... 1 Glenara (9st 71b) 2 Linwood (9st 121b) 3 Magic, list 21b ; Trapper, lOst 101b } Little John, 9st 101b ; Gang Awa, Bst 101b, also started. Won by half a length. Trapper when holding a good position, and looking a likely wianer, Tell at the last hurdle, but Cotton, his rider, escaped without injury. Time, 3mins. 18secs. Betting: 5 to 2 against Ravenswood ; 3 to 1 against Trapper and Glenara ; sto 1 against the rest. President's Handicap, of 200 soys. ; mile and a- quarter. O'Brien's Rubina, 7*t 71b (Stratford) ... 1 Johnston's Taiaroa, 7st 121b (Rubens) ... 2 McLeans Lady Evelyn, 6st 121b (Myers) 3 Betting : 2tol on Taiaroa. A good start was effected, and passing the stand the first time, Taiaroa and Lady Evelyn were on terms with Rubina a length in rear. At the back o the course, Taiaroa was a clear length ahead of Lady Evelyn with Rubina apparently tailing off. Just before entering the straight, Stratford called on the Canterbury representative, and, coming home full of running, she soon had both the other horses settled, and won by a clear length. Time, 2min. 15sec.

All of the Hon. W. Robinson's horses Vanguard, Oudeis, Eskatos, and Liverpool, were struck out of the Auckland Cup at 10.49 this morning. Lady Evelyn has also been scratched. Lady Emma and Captain Webster have been heavily backed for the Dunedin Cup— the former up to 10's to 1, and the latter at 12's.
