CjikiiTOHuiicii, Nov. 22. Rkciahmnu tlio frorniching of Tronton for the Derby, the following veterinary certificate, dated Nov. 18, has been published :—: — " We do hereby certify that we have thin
day examined the bay colt Tronton, at the request of Mr D. OBrien, and that we find that the said colt has a decided enlargement of the near knee joint, and further that Mr OBrien would have run great risk of causing a pormanent lameness if the colt had not been stopped in his work.— (Signed) Thos. Hill, M.K.C.V.S.L , Edward John Brock, M.R.C.V.S.L."
News from Christchurch states that tho connection which has so long existed between Messrs Robinson and Lance and Mr R. Ray, has been abruptly sevored, and the whole of the team belonging to the firm are now under Mr R, Mason's charge at Yaldhurst. Welcome Jack is located at Grip Lodge, which has been leased by Mr G. G. Stead for five years. It is stated that Ray will shortly leave Canterbury.
