Onehuxcja, Nov. 24. Tiik Onehunga Spring Meeting on Saturday last passed ofl' most successfully, the attendance being tho largest that has yet been seen on the courso The new grand stand was largely patronised, and amongst those present was the Hon. G. M. O'Rorko, President of tho Club. The Onehunga Brass Band was present, and helped to wile away tho intervals botween the races. Tint, was a good contest throughout, Azim winning rather easily by a length. A protect was lodged by the owner of Alfred against Evening Star being placed second, on the giound that he ran inside a pi^t, and after hearing evidencothestewards sustained theprotost. Totalibator dividend, t'3 1.35. The No\ v.l llvci, of 20>ovs, 1 mile, was won by Across the Ciras?, ridden by Burns, Barney being the only other starter. Totalizator dividend, 15s. Mignonette was the fnvt to move, followed by Fishgirl, tho lest in a cluster, and in this order the stand was passed. At the back of the couine Kalo went up into first place, Ecu i second, and Fibhgirl third, the stand being passed the second time in this order. After going about quarter of a mile further, Dressmaker was taken into third position, and challenged tho leaders. She overhauled Fishgirl as they were entering tho straight, but, despite all McC'lusky's effort*, ho was unable to get up to Kalo, who won by a clear length. Time, 2mins.s2sccs. Totalisator dividend, £}) 12s. Tho Hack Race of 10sovs,l milo,minimum weight, Sfet. was won by McCracken's Little Nell, beating 10 otheib. Sixt.ing HimuLK Rack of 20sovs. Weight for age. The winner to be sold for o'Osovs. If for OOso^'s., to bo allowed 71bs ; if for 40sovs., 14lbs; if for SOsovs., 211bs ; and for2osovs., 281bs. Distance, 1 mile and a half. The winnei was put up for sale, but not reaching the reserve of £00, he was passed in to the owner. Totalizator dh idend, £2.
