[Considerable dissatisfaction is being expressed by some who took part in this concert at refreshments being provided out of the proceeds, for those who remained for the dance. We are informed paid refreshments were not brought forth until after the non -dancers had dispersed. Those who assisted from Te Aroha had no idea when they were requested to sing for the object above mentioned, that they were likewise to assist in providing refreshments for all those who intended "making a night of it.*' Providing gratuitous refreshments at concert- got up for a purpose such A3 was named on tin's occasion, is certainly out of the usual order of things.— Ed. A. N.]
