TE AROHA BAND OF HOPE.
A meeting of the. above was held in the Wesley an Church on last Tuesday evening ; Mr Ilott in the chair, Mr W. W Asaby presiding at the harmonium There was a good attendance, ami the meeting was a very interesting one The program me was as follows : .Hesitation, "The mariner's chili I," Miss M. Bow; reading, " Timotliy Hubble," Miss A. Allen; recitation, ''J'm father now," Miss Mary Lavery ; reading, l * Barnes's frog 1 ," Mr Vausc ; dialogue, " Tii<j Band of Hope meeting,'' Misses M. Hotchin and L. McLiJtchy ; recitation, " tiave my father," Mas'er Wesley Emerson ; reading, Mr Ilott ; recitation, " The warden of cinque ports," Master Balclce; song, il Please give me a penny," Miss Violet Pavitt ; recitation, " Tlie bridal wine cap," Miss Bloomfiehl ; reading, Mr Lovell ; recitation, " Grandmamma always does," Miss C. Bew ; song, '• Far Away," Miss Smithe ; recital ion, ' Hodge and Vicar," Mr I. Scott ; dialougue, " ISarali's treat to her busba-id," Mr Ashby and Miss Bioomlield. Interspersed with a selection from Hoyle's songs and solos.
