Two men, named Harry Figg and Thomas Coombes, were speared, but they are not dead. A strong party of police will proceed at once to punish tho offenders. It seems that the blacks have been very troublesome of lato, killing cattle, and a few days ago a party of troopers endeavoured to arrest the natives who had the meat in their possession, but they wore resisted, when the police fired and wounded several of them.
